What did I…
Offer thanks for?
It’s the simple things that bring you joy, like Gramma putting the kids on a dishwashing schedule to help me out while I’m not feeling well. She has been training them to make sure they do things like wipe the counter when they are done. It has been such a blessing. Now to get the laundry under control again.
I found a bench seat for my van! We were feeling a bit nervous because we had already maxed out our 8 seater van, and now we have a time limit! But, Praise YHVH, I found the exact four seater for my van on ebay. It should be here next week, and will give us plenty of room to spread the kids out.
Pregnancy can be difficult sometimes. I’m so thrilled to be having another baby, and as the baby grows, my belly is showing it. But sometimes the physical discomforts can get discouraging. I’m definitely looking forward to that second trimester.
Teach my children?
We have been using a new DVD to begin our school day everyday. I am so excited about it! It is about the 613 commandments, and we have been going through about 3 commands each day. Stay tuned, I will be posting a full review very soon.
Study and learn?
I’ve been getting quite friendly with my Hebrew-English dictionary. I am so excited about my current project, a Hebrew copywork book based on Psalm 119. It will take me a bit longer to finish, but it’s coming together quite well, and I even have plans for a matching card game. 🙂
Noah has suddenly decided that he is interested in communicating. He is copying signs and trying to vocalize a bit. His latest accomplishment is learning to say up and down. Well, he actually says up own, but hey, I’m still thrilled! You can watch the video here.
I have been praying for YHVH to help me understand who He created me to be, and help me to do the very best I can at it. It’s so easy to compare myself to others, but I am unique in the world.
What is this week’s Torah portion and what did I learn from it?
We just went through Beresheet this last Shabbat, well, actually we never made it all the way through because there was so much there! Wow, if Torah is the foundation for the rest of the Bible, Beresheet is the foundation for the rest of Torah. This is definitely not a Torah portion to skim through, but really take some time with. There are so many foundational principles that help us understand the rest of Scripture.
I love this picture snuggling with the little guys in our sukkah!
