Scripture copywork is so important for a student of the Word. Unlike simply reading your Bible, copying it helps keep you engaged on a whole new level.
To help you, I have put together a month long copywork book in a standard traveler’s notebook. It measures 4.5 in. By 8.25 in. and features 29 two-page spreads. For each passage, you have a full page to copy it, and a pretty background page for your journaling or decoration.
I have also included 18 cardstock journaling cards, 12 neutral and 6 decorative. These can be taped to the edge of the page for more writing space, or glued on the pretty background to highlight a verse or thought.
If you are new to Scripture copywork, please don’t feel intimidated. First, focus on copying the passage. Then, use the pretty page for the following ideas:
copy a cross reference verse
Write a lightbulb idea
Write a prayer
Look for a list in the passage and write it
Write actions you need to take to better obey
Copy a song lyric that compliments the passage
I have tried to include everything you need to get started. You will receive a traveler’s notebook insert (hand sewn with linen thread) with 29 passages relating to trust and contentment, and 18 journaling cards measuring 3×4 inches. The only thing you might want to add is some washi tape, available at dollar stores and craft stores.
I pray this copywork set is a blessing to you. It is part of a series, so if you would like a particular theme for a future copywork book, please let me know.
Note: The sample page in the photos used one of the included journal cards, some skinny washi tape, and a Scripture picture from www.alittleperspective.com, which is free to use in your journal.
