Shabbat Shalom 12-7

shabbat

Shabbat is here again.

Is it just me, or does Friday seem to be a magnet for trouble? This week was no different. Doug was not feeling well most of the day. We went out in the freezing cold to continue working on his broken down truck. And just as he’s trying to leave for work, we discovered the battery was dead in my van.

But Shabbat is here again.

I am Israel and I can overcome. No matter what happens on Friday, it won’t keep me from the joy of keeping Shabbat.

So we are getting ready for Chanukah by drawing some wonderful pictures to post during the week, while we listen to Chanukah music. We have popcorn and coffee cake and french bread for sandwiches tomorrow. And tomorrow night we will begin our Chanukah celebration by bringing out the menorah, eating chocolate cake and reading the first chapter of Jonathon’s story.

Shabbat Shalom everyone!
