A new approach

December 21, 2011 by Heidi 3 Comments

Hello to all my friends around the globe! I am so honored that you stop by to see if I have something to say. YHVH has been very good to me and allowed me to be a part of all your lives.

I have been learning some wonderful things lately, Bible studies, sleep habits, decluttering methods, new cooking techniques, and keeping balance in my life. You may see some of the effects on this site. In the next month or two, I will be taking a bit of a different approach to my computer time.

First, I want to be online less so I can faithfully maintain an 11:00 bedtime.

Second, I want to put more emphasis on the permanent parts of this site, like the Torah portion resources. I want to make those easy to find whenever you visit the site. Any ideas on how you would like things organized, or the things you use the most on this site would be appreciated.

Third, I will still be posting on my blog, but I’m not going to try to post every other day. I will still be posting the weekly Torah portion resources and experiment with what I want to blog beyond that. Think of it as a temporary Sabbatical. I want to have some time to recharge my spiritual batteries and make sure that this site is lined up with what YHVH wants. I also want to fill up my own tank so I have plenty to share.

Fourth, I am still around. I love to get to know you and chat with you on facebook and twitter. I love getting emails from you. I love to follow your blogs and read your comments. Thank you so much for all your support, feedback, and prayers. I learn so much from you and I’m so happy to have the opportunity to share with you what I have learned.

The coming winter months are going to be a great opportunity to seriously clean some house, find balance, and bring some simplicity to my life. I hope you will also take the opportunity to grow to new heights in your Torah journey.

Happy Hanukkah! May YHVH richly bless you!

I appreciate all you do so VERY much! We love the My First Torah and have made it a part our our daily homeschool reading. My husband loves it as much as our 6 year old! I use you Torah Portion resources every week and it is such a blessing to have them all in one spot.

We also enjoy the stories you have written as family read alouds. You have a real gift.

I admire you taking time away and your goals. I will be praying for you. I will also be first in line for whatever new and wonderful things you produce!

Bless you and your family and Happy Hanukkah!

I’ve been trying to streamline what I do online, so I have time for the real writing. I am working on a very exciting project right now!
