I planned to write a post about the current climate and how confused we all feel…
But, I decided that my words really aren’t all that important. I have days where I feel scared and overwhelmed and not too terribly sure which end is up. My thoughts and feelings are too volatile to be of any help to you.
What helps us when life has storms is pure words of truth. So, I decided that this post should be filled with Scripture, rather than my thoughts. We are told to renew our minds, and line up our thoughts with our Father’s thoughts. We do that by meditating on Scripture. Here are some words of truth and encouragement direct from the Source. All verses are from the Tree of Life Bible, my favorite translation.
After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace- who has called you into His eternal glory in Messiah- will Himself restore, support, strengthen, and establish you.I Peter 5:10
I will bless Adonai at all times. His praise is continually in my mouth. My soul boasts in Adonai. The humble ones hear of it and rejoice. Magnify Adonai with me and let us exalt His Name together. I sought Adonai, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. They who looked to Him were radiant, and their faces will never be ashamed.Psalm 34:2-7
But I trust in Your lovingkindness, my heart rejoices in Your salvation. I will sing to Adonai, because He has been good to me.Psalm 13:6
Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and joy are in His place. Ascribe to Adonai, O families of the peoples, ascribe to Adonai glory and strength. Ascribe to Adonai the glory due to His Name. Bring an offering and come before Him. Worship Adonai in the splendor of holiness.I Chronicles 16:27-29
Adonai is my strength and my shield. My heart trusts in Him, and I was helped. Therefore my heart leaps for joy, and I will praise Him with my song. Adonai is their strength- a stronghold of salvation for His anointed. Save your people, bless Your inheritance, shepherd them and carry them forever.Psalm 28:7-9
You are my hiding place- You will protect me from distress. You surround me with songs of deliverance. SelahPsalm 32:7
Trust in Adonai with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear Adonai and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.Proverbs 3:5-8
Adonai is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me: Your rod and Your staff comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed my head with oil, my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the House of Adonai forever.Psalm 23
I want to encourage you to spend more time in the Word, not less. Read it, copy it, think about it, discuss it, pray it. The proper perspective comes from filling your heart and mind with truth. And we all sure need a lot of the right perspective right now!
On the practical side of our very upturned world, I have a couple things I’d like to share with you. First, I have put everything in my store on sale for Feast of Unleavened Bread! Perhaps you would like to stock up on some digital products for your homeschool, or you have been looking for a chance to get the new ‘My Time with Adonai’ journal. My journal has been a close companion these past few weeks. I copy Scripture in it, which I love. But, one of my favorite features is the ASK section. This is where I list all my prayer requests. Having them all written down in one place reminds me to pray through each of them every day, and it also reminds me to check up on the people I am praying for. I used to pray for prayer requests immediately so I wouldn’t forget. Now, I write the requests down, and do a much better job of continuing to pray. It’s exciting to see how many prayers have been answered since I started writing them down!
I also want to tell you about a bundle of digital products on sale today and tomorrow only. It’s called the Stay at Home Survival bundle, can any of us relate? This bundle ($19.97) includes a delightful mix of resources to help you make the most of your time at home. Here are some of the things you will find inside.
- Projects for your kids to learn how to draw, start a gratitude journal, and learn about different countries
- Family conversation starters
- Learn how to make homemade “box” mixes
- Get a handle on screen time
- Ways to take better care of creation
- How to make the most of spring (my favorite season)
- A productivity guide for tired moms, don’t be afraid to raise your hand!
- Work at home ideas and resources
If these things sound like they would be helpful to you right now, and I’m thinking they probably would be, you can get all the details below. This is an affiliate link, which means I get a percentage of any sales through my link. Your price remains the same. I so appreciate your support. Just fyi, chasing down and purchasing all the products individually would be almost $500, so $19.97 is a great price. Remember that it is only available April 7-8.
I hope these resources will be helpful to you, but mostly, I pray that you will fill your heart and mind with truth. There is so much info out there right now, reliable and not so reliable. We have to be very proactive to protect and nurture our families. What verses have you found very encouraging lately? Please share them with us in the comments!
