Am I a miracle?

December 23, 2011 by Heidi 1 Comment

Isn’t it amazing how a simple song can speak to my heart in such a profound way?

YHVH is a God of miracles. He did such incredible things for the Maccabees and everyone else in Scripture for that matter. Is He still the same God? Does He still work miracles?

I actually remember being taught that miracles happened in the Bible but now we have doctors. If that’s the case, then let me back in the Bible!

Sometimes I feel like my life is a puzzle undone. Some of the pieces are on the floor under the dog. Some pieces are put together and we can see a little of the picture. Some of the pieces are so dark and gloomy. Some look like they have been kissed by sunshine. How will they all fit together? Will I have enough time to finish the puzzle? Am I the One even working on the puzzle?

What do people think of the life that is mine? Do they see the Messiah in me? Am I helping point the way to Torah? Am I a miracle?

There are things in my life that seem so difficult. I don’t understand why they are here. It looks like they could ruin the puzzle of my life. I don’t understand how YHVH will use them.

But then He reminds me that His grace is made perfect in my weakness. It is those dark parts of my life that make Him look that much more wonderful. When I reach the end of myself, He can bring me into His world of miracles. I cannot handle what He has given me. But the beauty comes in the moment I realize that He gave the difficulties to me. He knew what my life should look like before I was ever born. (Ps. 139)

A miracle is not very impressive if I can handle everything. 🙂

YHVH, please work a miracle in me! Please help me with those difficult puzzle pieces. I can’t see the way. But Yahshuas is the Light of the World. Your Torah is a lamp to my feet. Finish the puzzle of my life in a way that brings glory to you. Make me a miracle. I know you are a God of miracles and You don’t change. You did miracles for the Maccabees and I am thankful that You will do them for me, too.

Against all odds drive on till tomorrow
Wipe away your tears and your sorrow
Sunrise in the sky like an arrow
No need to worry, no need to cry
Light up your mind no longer be blind
Him who searches will find
Leave your problems behind you will shine like a fire in the sky
what’s the reason we’re alive — the reason we’re alive…
Bound to stumble and fall but my strength comes not from man at all
Bound to stumble and fall but my strength comes not from man at all

[Chorus]
Do you believe in miracles
Am I hearing you? Am I seeing you?
Eight nights eight lights and these rites keep me right
Bless me to the highest heights with your miracle

Happy Hanukkah!
